Am I Dreaming? Because These 3 Summer Outfits Are Too Good to Be True

In my dreams, anything is possible. My goals? Achieved often and celebrated lavishly. My travels? International and mostly spent on yachts. My closet? Filled with only the best and chicest of items.

Clearly, my head is in the clouds, but I don’t see anything wrong with dreaming big. I may not have everything in my dream life just yet, but making my fantasy wardrobe a reality feels like the best (not to mention the most fun) place to start. For summer, that includes everything in Balmain’s most recent collection, especially the bold, new B-It shoes and B-Buzz bags, both of which are undoubtedly statement makers. Leave it to Olivier Rousteing to create my dream summer wardrobe. Now all I need is a place to wear these looks. If only I had that yacht…

The B-It shoes were actually inspired by the shape of a yacht, so it’s only fitting that I picture myself wearing them on one. But I’ll settle for somewhere by a pool or beach in the meantime if I must. This black pair is seriously cool and very on-trend thanks to the quilted leather. Styling them with wide-leg drawstring pants in Balmain’s signature logo print and a simple cropped knit top feels casual yet elevated. The gold hardware on this teeny, tiny bag ties in perfectly with the gold buttons on the tank, don’t you think?

No matter what time of year it is, my dream wardrobe involves denim. But summer means lighter washes and shorter hemlines. This set passes the test and then some. I love the contrast between the flirty and fitted denim skirt and the matching oversize denim jacket. (How cool are the pearl details on the back?) Because I’m the one calling the shots in this dream, I’m choosing to bring maximum drama with a denim bag and other bright white accessories. Dramatic attitude not included.

On the surface, this outfit is the most simple since it’s centered around a white knit dress. But add several cotton-candy pink (one of my favorite color trends for summer) accessories like these padded shoes, this mini suede fringe bag, and these oversize ’70s-inspired sunglasses, and then try to tell me this outfit is simple. That’s what I thought.
