I Refuse To Wear Boring Swimsuits—These Stunning One-Pieces Are The Solution

From season to season, I tend to stick with one thing and wear it till its last legs. Last year it was the three-piece swimset, this year I’m zeroing in on the dramatic one-piece. In my book, the one-piece swimsuit doesn’t get the credit it deserves (I’ve noticed bikini domination among influencers and brands alike). Maybe it’s because of the style’s reputation as somewhat dull and plain, but if the versions on the market today are any indication, that perception couldn’t be farther from the truth.  In preparation for my vacation earlier this month, I made sure to stock up on them, packing a range of cool printed ones (like the Louisa Ballou suit above) and those with shocking cut-outs (hey, when in Rome). Off the beach, my plan was to also style them with pants for laidback nights out. And from a packing perspective, it’s much easier to keep track of one piece versus two. Since I’m on a mission to help others realize the thrill of the underrated one-piece, I’m sharing 29 enthralling and cool versions to add to your summer outfit list immediately. Get ready for the barrage of compliments.

Honestly it’s so expensive-looking it doesn’t even look like Zara.

Black swimsuits can be interesting too—take a look at this one.

The styling is done for you.

If you’re on a budget, please check out Italian label Calzedonia.

How adorable are these delicate cut-outs?

Say yes to Jacquard.

I wore this while on vacation and it was a hit.

If you don’t mind a little exposure.

I love the expertly laid cut-outs.

If you haven’t noticed already, glitter is a reigning swim trend of the season.

Clean and cute.

I just discovered this brand and am really into it.

Ideal for a coastal getaway.

High-cut is understatement.

As much as I love a cut-out, I also appreciate a more modest take like this one.

This reeks of old hollywood glamour.

I have a feeling this would also look amazing with a pair of jeans.

One of my go-to swim brands right now.

The juxtaposition between satin and glitter is really unique.

Sparkly.

If you’re going away this summer, a piece from Cult Gaia is a must.

Electric lime is the color of the summer.

I wouldn’t ever take this off.

I’m convinced The Attico doesn’t know how to make a bad swimsuit.

When I’m in the mood for something striking I always go back to Isa Boulder.

Pretty and pink.

Not only does House of Ama have amazing ready to wear, it also has some amazing swim.

I’ve talked about this before, but the layered swim look is a micro-trend to watch.

Hell yes to these sleeves.
