If you frequent Who What Wear for the latest jewelry trends, chances are you’ve come across the game-changing brand Dorsey. Founded by Meg Strachan in 2019, Dorsey sells vintage-inspired classics featuring lab-grown diamonds and premium craftsmanship. Since launching it, Strachan has grown Dorsey into a seven-figure business, garnering quite the fan base, including Taylor Swift, Hailey and Justin Bieber, Emily Rajatkowski, and more, by releasing stunning signature styles—including the Kate Necklace, which has sold out over 50 times. Impressively, Strachan managed to grow the brand without any initial venture capital, and at the end of 2021, NahCo3 joined as the leading investor.

In the beginning, building Dorsey was a side project for Strachan. In fact, from when she first conceived the idea up until she went all in with Dorsey in 2021, she was balancing several career roles. She was a growth consultant for Bandier, an affiliate marketing consultant for Quince, the acting VP of Growth for Girlfriend Collective, and a growth marketing consultant for Re/Done. Throughout her career, Strachan also held marketing positions at Anine Bing, Goop, and Carbon38. And before she made a major splash in the marketing industry, she actually worked in e-commerce at platforms like DailyLook and JustFab/ShoeDazzle. It was through her 15 years of experience in direct-to-consumer marketing that Strachan came to fully understand what it would take to create her own brand.

Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear how Strachan’s past career catapulted her into starting her own brand and everything she has learned along the way. And keep scrolling to shop some of Dorsey’s latest collections and best-selling pieces.
